How Rat Gained his Tail
Long ago the cunning rat’s tail was covered in think beautiful fur. He would wrap it around himself in the winter and hold it aloft with pride for all the other creatures to see. Rat was not arrogant, but he did have much pride. His cousin the Mouse had no hair upon his tail and was often ridiculed by the other creatures. Rat had much love for his cousin and often thought of ways he could help him become proud like he was of his tail. The Ever cunning Rat went to Great Father Mantis who was known for his great wisdom.
